ABERDEEN, Md. — The introduction of Cooper High graduate Ryan Moseley’s professional career came at Ripken Stadium, the home of the short-season Aberdeen IronBirds in the New York-Penn League.
The principal owner of the team is Cal Ripken, Jr., the former Hall of Fame shortstop with the Baltimore Orioles who grew up just a few miles from the stadium. Ripken Stadium is just off busy Interstate 95 and about 30 miles north of Baltimore and Camden Yards.
Earlier this season Moseley and a teammate watched the parent Orioles play at home against the Boston Red Sox. Moseley grew up going to big league games in Houston and Arlington but that was the first time he saw a game at Camden Yards.
