Dorsey, a 5-foot-10 1/2, 205-pound safety from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, orally committed to Tech as he concluded a recruiting visit Sunday. Dorsey plans to sign with the Red Raiders when the mid-year signing period for junior-college transfers begins Dec. 14 and enroll in January.
“Lubbock, Texas, is a college town,” he said. “I think they support Texas Tech very well. I love the coaches. They bring a family atmosphere that was great. And they expect me to come in and be a leader and produce.
