With the score at 28-10 in Texas Tech's favor, head coach Kliff Kingsbury and offensive coordinator Eric Morris pulled out a trick play to increase their team's lead over Louisiana Tech.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes flipped the ball to receiver Jonathan Giles, who then tossed the ball to Cameron Batson on the end-around. Batson then turned and found Mahomes, who connected with Giles to his left before Giles cut across the field and made his way to the end zone.
