The crowd at Jones AT&T Stadium of 61,282 fans on Saturday arrived to see if Texas Tech could get the job done against No. 2 ranked Texas Christian.
Certainly, the Tech crowd made their presence known throughout the game, cranking the volume on high.
However, one of the loudest rackets in the stadium arrived with the clock stopped at the 7:40 mark of the first quarter.
That’s when Pampa High graduate Zach Thomas was announced to the crowd.
Thomas was a guest of Texas Tech for the day, honoring his induction in the College Football Hall of Fame.
