Lady Raiders slug past Grambling State for another win

For the second time this week, Texas Tech won by more than 15 points.

But, Lady Raiders coach Candi Whitaker didn’t seem happy with either performance.

Texas Tech once again had to shake off a sluggish start as it eventually routed Grambling State 70–55 -- the same score Tech defeated Incarnate Word by earlier this week.

Friday at United Supermarkets Arena.

Slowly, the Lady Raiders (8-2) pulled away from Grambling State (2-7), which took a 16-14 lead on a jumper from Shakyla Hill to start the second quarter.

A minute later, Japreece Dean gave Texas Tech the lead back when she hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key and Rayven Brooks extended the lead to 19-16 when she hit a spinning layup.
