The Texas Tech crowd was so loud, even the buzzer couldn’t be heard.
That energy — brought by a multitude of elementary school students on Education Day — fueled the Lady Raiders to a 84-60 victory over Houston Wednesday morning inside United Supermarkets Arena.
“It was a great team win for us,” Tech coach Candi Whitaker said. “Houston throws a lot of pressure at you and a lot of different things defensively. I thought we handled it well. I really liked how we came out in the third quarter. I thought on both ends we played that quarter very, very well.
