The Lady Raiders got off to a slow start Saturday afternoon at United Supermarkets Arena.
A string of turnovers allowed Eastern New Mexico to take an early lead over Texas Tech.
“I felt like we got punched in the mouth early and didn’t respond,” Texas Tech coach Candi Whitaker said. “We were rattled and didn’t find a calmness on the floor. We had a lot of seniors on the floor, and (I) expect that to be different.”
Despite the slow start, the Lady Raiders were able to overcome the early deficit to secure a 77-43 win.
