As hot seat coaching situations go, Texas Tech and Kliff Kingsbury have avoided the widespread drama enveloping other football programs.
Well so far, although the final minute of regulation against Kansas State might prove to be a tipping point.
At least there's been no strange assertions of death threats and skeptical responses by the administration, like Florida and Jim McElwain. No regent has publicly tweeted that Kingsbury needed to go, unlike Texas A&M with Kevin Sumlin. There hasn't been a dead man walking vibe like the situations surrounding Tennessee's Butch Jones and Nebraska's Mike Riley.
For all the lack of public discussion, Kingsbury is clearly back on the hot seat entering Saturday's game against Baylor at AT&T Stadium.
