Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury knew Patrick Mahomes II’s shoulder was “getting a little tired.”
But, he never considered pulling the junior quarterback in the 44-38 loss to Kansas State on Saturday. Mahomes injured the AC joint in a shoulder a week earlier against the Kansas Jayhawks.
“I thought he did a good job. There were some plays we’d like to have back, but more so up front, communicating, picking up different things,” Kingsbury said. “But I thought he hung in there. You could tell by the end of the game his shoulder was getting a little tired, but he kept battling gave us a chance to win.
