Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury still believes this is the best team he’s fielded since he came to Lubbock.
But, at 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Big 12 this season, the wins haven’t come for the Red Raiders.
“The results aren’t what we want as far as wins and losses, but I think we’ve gotten better, and I think we’ve been right there,” Kingsbiry said. “We just haven’t finished.”
Texas Tech lost to Texas 45-37 on Saturday despite leading 23-14 in the second quarter. The Longhorns scored the last 10 points of the half, and then D’Onta Forman kept the Texas offense churning in the second half.
