It is unclear currently, but Matt Wells has reportedly told Don Williams of the Lubbock-Avalanche that defensive back Justus Parker received a one-year NCAA suspension. Parker, a senior, had become an anchor on the defensive side of the ball last year with 15 solo tackles, a sack, a forced, fumble and five pass breakups. It was also his legendary interception in 2017 against Texas that helped solidify a Red Raider road victory against the Longhorns. Because Parker is a senior the one-year suspension ultimately will no longer be a part of the Texas Tech football team. Coach Wells commented that “Justus had a good career.
