There are few shining lights in the midst of a 3-game losing streak. However, the play of Texas Tech sophomore forward Justin Gray is one positive Tubby Smith can take from the last week.
Gray was the only Texas Tech player in double figures in Tuesday night’s 83-70 loss at Kansas State. Gray’s 23 points were only two points short of the total put up by the other four starters combined.
The first start of the year for Gray was the third consecutive game in which he has reached double figures. Against No. 1 Kansas on Saturday, Gray had 10 points off the bench to follow his 14 points off the bench at Iowa State.
