After a phenomenal freshman season, Josh Jung continues to see the awards pile up.
The Texas Tech third baseman was named a freshman all-American honoree by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper on Wednesday.
Jung, who received the all-American nod for the first time in his career, is the seventh Red Raiders baseball player to be bestowed with the honor. Two weeks prior, left-handed pitcher Steven Gingery and senior first baseman Hunter Hargrove nabbed all-American honors from the College Baseball Newspaper.
It marked the sixth total accolade — along with Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, Big 12 Freshman of the Year, all-Big 12 second team, unanimous all-Big 12 freshman team selection and NCAA Lubbock all-regional team as an infielder — he received this season.
