One month and a half ago we celebrated Josh Jung, the former Red Raiders’ third baseman, who was selected in the MLB draft by the Texas Rangers with the eighth overall pick. Now we have him already playing at Class A level, with the Hickory Crawdads, in North Carolina.
How was this possible?
Easy answer: he simply destroyed the rookie level.
Josh was assigned to the Rangers’ affiliate in the Arizona League, where he made his professional debut on July 10. His line? 3/4 with a home run and three RBIs. This was only the beginning as he had two more 3-hit games in the following five days.
