Appropriately, Texas Tech players and coaches are talking about playing "March basketball."
But they were talking about it in November. And December. And right up to the NCAA Tournament.
From their standpoint, March basketball is a mindset not a timeframe. It's about the winning components.
"It's basically disciplined basketball," sophomore standout Jarrett Culver said. "It's trying to get the best shots we can, don't force anything, take our time. If we do get an open shot, take it.
"We've been saying it all year. When we made mistakes ... we'd still say we need to play March basketball," Culver said.
