Candi Whitaker endured a winless Big 12 campaign in her first season (0-18) at the helm of the Lady Raiders. The next two seasons failed to provide a breakthrough, either, as Texas Tech went 28-34 overall.
Those struggles could be end this season.
Infused with three eligible transfers and three new signees, the The Texas Tech women’s basketball team began practice for the 2016-17 season at United Supermarkets Arena on Wednesday.
“The energy was high (at practice) and it was really different from a year before. I am excited to get this going,” junior transfer Larryn Brooks said.
