As is the case for most schools, each home football game is vital to the health of Texas Tech Football. And the revenue generated by the influx of fans helps the community tremendously, especially in Texas Tech’s case where many fans travel from out of town to attend the game.
But an often overlooked aspect of home games is their impact on recruiting, as coaches from every sport try to get as many recruits on campus as possible in oder to showcase the best of what their school has to offer. With that said, this weekend will be an important recruiting opportunity for the Texas Tech football program because 17 recruits have already made plans to be in Lubbock, including 12 recruits who have already extended verbal commitments to Texas Tech.
