ARLINGTON -- Texas Tech didn’t have any problems scoring quickly in Saturday’s game against Baylor at AT&T Stadium.
The Red Raiders had three one-play scoring drives in the first half of their final game of the season. All three scores were touchdown passes of 75 yards or more by Texas Tech junior quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The quick scores were a big reason why the Red Raiders led 41-21 at halftime. After two quarters, Mahomes had completed 17 of 24 passes for 412 yards and five touchdowns.
Earlier in the season, Mahomes completed 52 of 88 passes for 734 yards, five touchdowns and one interception in a 66-59 loss to No.
