The Cowboys baseball team in Stillwater, Oklahoma has historically been one of the strongest teams in the nation. With 41 appearances in the NCAA tournament, 19 times in the College World Series, and the sixth highest winning percentage in Division 1, the Cowboys have a storied history and a formidable home record, notching over 700 wins in over 30 years at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
Allie Reynolds was a student at the university, when it was known as Oklahoma A&M, in the 1930's as a scholarship track athlete in the javelin throw. The baseball head coach at the time asked Reynolds to throw for the team in practice and proceeded to strike out 4 batters without any warming up.
