LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Orlando Garcia hit a two-run homer to back a strong showing from the Texas Tech bullpen after an early weather delay, and the host Red Raiders opened the Lubbock Regional with a 5-2 victory over Delaware on Friday.
Cody Farhat also drove in two runs for top-seeded Texas Tech (44-15), which will play the Sam Houston State-Arizona winner Saturday. The Blue Hens (34-22) will face the loser in an elimination game.
Caleb Kilian (6-0) gave up two runs -- one earned -- in 3 2/3 innings after replacing starter Davis Martin following a lightning delay of an hour and a half in the second inning.
