Hits keep coming as Texas Tech loses another recruit

Texas Tech is on a recruiting slide since firing head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

The Red Raiders lost their fourth commit over the last three days as three-star Houston Lamar cornerback Alex Hogan backed out of his verbal pledge.

Hogan announced his decision via Twitter.

Hogan originally committed to Texas Tech over the summer. He holds offers from Colorado, Iowa State, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, SMU and others.

At 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, Hogan is ranked as the No. 71 cornerback in the country and No. 108 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite.

Texas Tech now has 15 verbal commits in its 2019 recruiting class, which is ranked eighth in the Big 12.
