For the first time in school history, the Red Raiders reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, after they downed the Boilermakers by 13 points. After a balanced first half, Texas Tech progressively excavated a furrow Purdue couldn’t recover from and is now expected to play against No. 1 Villanova for a place in the Final Four. The game will take place on Sunday, 1.20 p.m. CT.
In a game in which ten Red Raiders spent at least eight minutes on the court, the top scorer was once again Keenan Evans (16), but Justin Gray, Zhaire Smith, and Zach Smith had double-digit nights too.
