Southlake Carroll's T.J. McDaniel has been committed to SMU since July 31, but the star running back wasn't ready to sign Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period for football.
McDaniel, a three-star recruit who led the Dallas area in rushing with 2,122 yards as a senior, said he will wait until February. SMU fans shouldn't worry, though.
McDaniel said in a direct message on Twitter that he still plans to sign with SMU. The reason he is waiting?
"I'm waiting on my suit, it's still not ready yet + I'm in NY," McDaniel said in his message.
