Having already shown flashes of talent, Texas Tech QB Jett Duffey seems set for a chance to shine bright

Jett Duffey will almost certainly be getting another chance to show what he can do as a starter.

For the sophomore from Mansfield Lake Ridge, his pinch-hitting assignment for the injured Alan Bowman is about more than displaying the skills that made him a top recruit or even making senior night a success Saturday vs. Texas at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Tech (5-4, 3-3 Big 12) is trying to snap a two-game losing streak and avoid dropping to .500 while becoming bowl eligible. Another loss and Kliff Kingsbury could complete the rare coaching 180 of hot seat to safe to hot seat again in the span of less than one season.
