Texas Tech sophomore infielder Tanner Gardner and senior outfielder Tyler Neslony were both named among the top 20 prospects from this summer’s California Collegiate League.
Neslony was ranked 13th in the listing of 30 overall prospects by the website www.PerfectGame.org, while Gardner was No. 17 overall.
Texas Tech joined Oklahoma State and Rice as the only programs nationally to have multiple players recognized among the top 20 prospects.
Neslony compiled a .341 average to go along with a pair of doubles, four triples and 15 RBI for the Santa Barbara Foresters.
He and Gardner were among the four Red Raiders selected to the CCL All-Star roster.
