When Mike Warren found out he broke the freshman Iowa State season record for rushing yards, he knew who to thank for helping him get there.

“I went to my offensive line and just gave them all a big hug,” Warren said. “I was just really surprised I was able to accomplish that. They were all excited. We haven’t had a guy do that for a long time. We’ll keep on getting better and doing bigger things.”
It took Warren only five games to snap the record of 471 rushing yards which was set by Stevie Hicks in 2003.
