Former Texas Tech standout set to be Chargers’ head coach

Not everyone achieves the dreams they set out to achieve.

For Anthony Lynn, though, the stars seem to have aligned.

The former Texas Tech running back was set to become head coach of the newly relocated Los Angeles Chargers, according to numerous reports Thursday. Though at least five former Tech coaches have become NFL head coaches, Lynn, it’s believed, would be the first former Red Raiders player to do so.

“That doesn’t surprise me,” said Spike Dykes, Lynn’s coach at Tech. “Anthony Lynn is the top of the heap. Anything he’s ever done has been unbelievable, in my opinion — as a player, as a person, as a constituent.
