Former Texas Tech safety Tanner Jacobson, who left the program to serve a two-year Mormon mission in Bolivia, will enroll at Brigham Young in January and resume his football career.
The BYU athletic department announced Jacobson as part of a group of four players scheduled to enroll in January.
Jacobson joined Tech as a walk-on from Southlake Carroll. He made 47 tackles on the Red Raiders’ 8-5 team in 2013, along with causing two fumbles and recovering one. That was his freshman season.
He left after a seven-tackle performance in Tech’s Holiday Bowl upset of Arizona State.
