Fourteen years after last seeing the program’s all-time leading scorer, Andre Emmett, play for the Red Raiders, Texas Tech basketball fans will get another opportunity to see him on the court again this summer.
Thursday, Emmett was drafted second overall in the Big 3 League draft. The three-on-three basketball league had its inaugural season last summer after being founded by a group led by actor and rapper Ice Cube.
The league features eight teams of five players, mostly retired NBA stars like Allen Iverson, Kenall Gill, Chauncey Billups and Mike Bibby. The teams travel to different cities each week giving fans an opportunity to see some of their favorite basketball stars on the court once again.
