Nigel Bethel II, who was set to be the top returning defensive back for the Red Raiders in the fall, will suit up for Eastern Kentucky this upcoming season.
Because he's dropping to the FCS level, he'll be eligible to play immediately as a junior. He made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday.

Bethel spent two seasons at Texas Tech before announcing his decision to transfer out in May, thanking coaches Kliff Kingsbury and Wes Kittley, along with athletic director Kirby Hocutt and several others, in a note posted on Twitter.
