Texas Tech fell to No. 20 West Virginia 48-17 on Saturday. Here are five takeaways from the loss.

1. Tech offense begins game with slow start

The Red Raiders first half of play was dismal. West Virginia led them in all first half offensive categories. Tech punted the ball a total of three times in the first thirty minutes of play.
