The Texas Tech baseball team split a pair of game against the visiting Aggies, dropping the first game 7-6 before winning the final 14-2 on Wednesday.
Freshman pitcher Steven Gingery turned in his best performance on the mound. striking out 12 in 5.1 innings to improve to 1-1 on the season. The Red Raiders bats also came to life against the NMSU hurlers. Tyler Neslony and Tanner Gardner hit back-to-back home runs for the first time since 2009.
