ARLINGTON - Patrick Mahomes hasn't played a regular-season snap for the Chiefs.
Kansas City's 10th overall pick out of Texas Tech put up video game-like numbers his last two years in Lubbock, completing 752 passes for 77 touchdowns. He completed another 34-of-54 throws for four touchdowns during Kansas City's preseason.
Now, with quarterback Alex Smith as the helm, he waits.
"It's been a great experience so far," Mahomes said. "Just building relationships with all the guys, really trying to learn every single day I'm at the facility and even during games I'm watching on the sideline, trying to pick up on what Alex is doing.
