For the second straight day, a Texas Tech freshman pitcher dominated.
Erikson Lanning pitched six innings of one-hit baseball and led the Red Raiders to a 12-0 win over Milwaukee on Sunday at Rip Griffin Park.
Lanning struck out four and walked one in his debut performance.
Texas Tech (3-1) also gave the left-hander an early cushion, scoring three runs in the first inning. Corey Raley singled to start the game, then Orlando Garcia walked and Milwaukee pitcher Brian Keller hit both Eric Gutierrez and Stephen Smith to force in a run.
After two quick outs, Ryan Long singled through the left side of the infield to score Gutierrez and Smith.
