Social media blew up a week ago as the world watched a clip of Travis Watkins crushing a three-run home run to walk-off with a 8-6 victory against the defending national champion Virginia in Charlottesville.
Friday evening Watkins delivered again as he launched a grand slam over the left field wall to put the Pirates up by three.
But he wasn’t done as the junior catcher went yard a second time, this time a two-run shot, an inning later.
Watkins finished Friday night with a career-high six RBIs as East Carolina defeated Texas Tech 8-6.
He only had three home runs during the regular season, and through four postseason games already has four, two of which were game-winning home runs against Virginia and William & Mary last weekend.
