Documents released after Texas Tech Title IX ruling involving Jett Duffey

Following a records request by The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in January, a Texas Tech IX panel took the side of a woman who claimed Texas Tech quarterback Jett Duffey had sexual intercourse with her while she was too incapacitated.

However, on Friday, Duffey's lawyer said a grand jury failed to find sufficient evidence to prosecute the case.

According to the article by Sarah Rafique, the documents regarding the hearing were provided just on Thursday, after almost two weeks that the Texas Attorney General's Office told the university to release the documents promptly.

A-J media reached out to Duffey's attorney to get a statement from Assistant Criminal District Attorney Edward Wharff, who said the allegation was no-billed on March 21, meaning that the jury didn't find the case evidence significant enough to prosecute.
