In the newly renovated Texas Tech locker room, there is a sign that reads “Win the Turnover battle.” Justus Parker took that adage to heart on Saturday as he got two turnovers on the day.
The walk-on transfer proved his value in the third quarter by stripping the ball from Kansas wide out Chase Harrell and taking the ball himself to the end zone. On the very next drive, Parker then decided to add to his stat sheet by grabbing his first career interception which led to another Tech touchdown.
If Parker can keep this up, he will be a key cog in the defense going forward.
