The Texas Tech men’s basketball added another player to its squad.
Decatur’s Parker Hicks agreed to a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Red Raiders.
“It’s always been a dream for me to play for Texas Tech,” Hicks said. “My mom went to school at Tech and always been a fun thing I’ve always envisioned, was to go to school there, too.”
Hicks said his recruiting process began two months ago when he received a call from Texas Tech assistant Mark Adams. The 6-foot-5 senior, who was also hearing from Division II Tarleton State, admitted he was intrigued by the offer from the Red Raiders.
