DeAndre Washington ran for 152 yards on 22 attempts against Kansas to become the number seven running back on Texas Tech’s All-Time career rushing list. Washington, the Red Raiders’ clear number one choice at running back over the past 2 seasons now has 2,657 yards on 477 attempts over his career.
While Texas Tech has certainly been more well-known for their aerial assault as of late, the Red Raiders have had some very good running backs as well. Washington passed Baron Batch on the rushing list earlier this year, and is gaining ground on other former Texas Tech and NFL players such as Taurean Henderson, “Bam” Morris, and Byron Hanspard.
