Michael Davis led the way with three RBIs while going 4-for-4 at the plate as the Red team topped the Black team, 8-5, in the first game of the Red and Black Scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Rip Griffin Park.
He wasn’t the only one for the Red team to have success at the plate as two others, Zach Rheams and Matt Bernstein, finished 4-for-5 and 3-for-5 respectively.
While the Red team finished with 13 hits, the Black team only had four, as the Red team’s pitching staff went to work.
Ryan Shetter got the start for the Red team and gave up four runs off two hits with four strikeouts through five innings.
