BOSTON -- Texas Tech freshman Zhaire Smith, whose name has surfaced in several mock NBA drafts, has a decision to make in the next few weeks.
"I'm really not sure," said Smith, a Lakeview Centennial product. "I'll pray on it and talk to my family."
He said he might "possibly" consider entering the draft but not hiring an agent, which would give him the option of receiving NBA feedback but keeping his college eligibility. Zach Smith did the same thing after last season going into his senior year.
With seven points against Villanova, Smith set the Tech freshman scoring record with 417 points, bettering Martin Zeno, who had 413 in 2004-05.
