Mike Gustafson figured a more appropriate time for a groundbreaking would be early fall.
But, with the 10th class of the National Baseball Hall of Fame on hand, Monday morning was the perfect time.
“This is something we’ve been working on for a while,” Gustafson, Hall of Fame president and CEO, said. “I wish we were actually going to be sticking shovels in the ground and getting moving. That’ll be closer to the end of the year. But, we wanted to do that while our inductees and honorees are here this weekend, so they can share and be a part of this.
