Jakeem Grant’s a little man putting up big numbers.
Numbers so big that he could cap off his senior season by breaking one of Texas Tech’s most prestigious records on Thanksgiving night in Austin.
With a regular-season game and a bowl game remaining, the Tech inside receiver needs 69 yards to become the school record holder for career receiving yards.
He’s tied for third right now with Lloyd Hill and right behind Wes Welker and Michael Crabtree.
Crabtree needed only two Biletnikoff Award-winning seasons to roll up his record 3,127 receiving yards, and Grant’s used all four to get to 3,059.
