Bulldogs hope to contain 'innovative' Red Raiders

Louisiana Tech lost eight starters on defense off last year’s 9-4 bowl-winning team, but the Bulldogs didn’t lose hope about stopping opponents. The Bulldogs have put up a fight so far in the 2016 season.

Louisiana Tech has allowed fewer than 300 yards in its first two games, holding South Carolina State to 293 yards and Arkansas to 297.

Senior safety Xavier Woods led the way in Fayetteville as he tied his career high with 10 tackles.

Now, Louisiana Tech is faced with containing the No. 2 offense in the FBS that averages 685 yards.

“I played against (Kliff Kingsbury) when he was at Houston,” Louisiana Tech coach Skip Holtz said.
