Former Texas Tech starting quarterback McLane Carter has announced his decision on where he’ll be playing football next year, and I don’t think a single person on the planet could’ve predicted it.
Rutgers.
The Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 10. Not a bad landing spot, all things considered, and I think Carter can take the Scarlet Knights from a one-win team to a a three or four-win team if he has any inkling of help around him. The arm talent is there. Remember, he won the starting job last fall and he could’ve had a season not dissimilar to the one Alan Bowman put together in his freshman campaign had he not messed up his ankle.
