The day for Texas Tech draft eligible players is beginning to ramp up as the Colorado Rockies have drafted catcher Braxton Fulford with the 170th pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fulford is the third Red Raider drafted on the second day of the draft.
Braxton has been the most reliable catcher for the Red Raiders for the last four seasons, coming to Tech from across town at Lubbock Monterey High School.
In 2021, Fulford helped Tech while batting .264 with 14 homers and 45 RBIs this past season.
A hometown favorite, Fulford has had the hearts of the Tech faithful, he was on every Academic Big 12 honor list in his time at Tech.
