Big plays aid Oklahoma State as it rallies past Texas Tech, 70-53

It was a back-and-forth and ugly game Saturday afternoon.

But that’s been the narrative the Texas Tech football team has followed in all of its previous eight contests this season.

Texas Tech jumped out to a 31-14 advantage early in the second quarter, but squandered that en route to 70-53 loss to No. 12 Oklahoma State.

With the loss the Red Raiders (5-4 overall, 2-4 in the Big 12) evaded bowl eligibility for another week. The Cowboys (8-0, 5-0) continued their unbeaten streak.

Texas Tech did its best to upset visiting Oklahoma State.

Red Raiders senior Jakeem Grant turned in his best effort of the season – finishing with 178 receiving yards and one touchdown as well as a 100-yard punt return.
