After shaking off the rust from a week-long break, the Lady Raiders dismantled Central Arkansas 79-45 Wednesday at United Supermarkets Arena.
Texas Tech (6-3) hadn’t played since Dec. 7 when it beat Houston 84-60.
Against Central Arkansas (6-2), the Lady Raiders started slow, but after Jada Terry came up with a steal with less than two minutes into the second quarter and got the ball to Guirantes on the break and the Lady Raiders took off.
In the first quarter Tech was 5 of 16 from the floor, but quickly hit 6 of its first 8 shots in the second and pulled ahead 27-14.
