Asked this week to compare TCU’s offense with Baylor’s, Texas Tech defensive coordinator David Gibbs pointed out how effectively the Bears can run the football.
Baylor, a program most known for its prolific pass offense over recent years, currently leads the nation in rushing, averaging 379.9 yards per game.
Part of the success is due to the play of an experienced offensive line. Left tackle Spencer Drango turned down the chance to leave early for the NFL to return for his senior season. Upperclassmen fill the rest of the starting line positions — seniors Pat Colbert, Jarell Broxton and Blake Muir along with junior Kyle Fuller at center.
