Battle of the Ricky Williams
Ricky Williams was a senior running back at UT and would go on to win the Heisman later that year. But Tech’s own Ricky Williams outrushed the Heisman winner in that game, and with the Raiders on top at end, announcer Gerald Rogers in his always calm but strong voice announced, “This victory marks Spike Dykes’ three hundredth career victor.
